A vertical cedar board-on-board fence with black steel posts, carefully stepped to follow a Superior backyard slope and create consistent privacy beside the home.
The grade changed substantially along the side and rear property lines, making a continuous privacy fence difficult to lay out cleanly. The owners wanted full screening, a durable post system, and a gate that worked with the stone steps beside the house.

What we built
Blue Squirrel installed overlapping vertical cedar boards on black powder-coated steel posts, stepping each section with the terrain to maintain useful height and balanced proportions. A matching gate was fitted beside the house at the stone access path.

The finished result
The completed fence follows the slope in an orderly rhythm and creates a private, cohesive edge around the yard. Natural cedar complements the native planting, while the steel posts and coordinated gate support long-term stability and daily use.
